Farewell with Ravindi at Changi

Yesterday, we went to Changi airport to bid farewell with Ravindi.
She is taking Cathay departing at 20:55. I rushed back from office. Luckily I managed to get there around 19.20 PM. We had dinner together at Burger King.

I am going to miss her. It has been a great 3 years of us becoming flatmate..

I still remember when Ravindi and I were roomate last time. We were alike in one thing : We can't wake up early... heheh.. End up.. in that semester I skipped so many morning lectures.. haha.. But don't worry about that, we managed to pass all the subject with good result that year.. Followings are some of the pictures that we took in Changi. Photos of Ravindi, me, Yim Lai, Emmy and Hasni (Ravindi's friend).

There Is Love

Now abide faith, hope, love, these three; but the greatest of these is love. —1 Corinthians 13:13

Today's Our Daily Bread

Some time ago, I traded e-mail with a friend who was approaching 30 and had no serious love relationship in sight. He’s talented, fun, handsome, and a committed Christian. But so far, everything on his romantic horizon has turned out to be a mirage.

Several months earlier, he had been very enthusiastic about a young woman with whom he was corresponding. Two weeks before they were to meet for the first time, she was killed by a drunk driver. My friend made the trip to meet her family, experience their pain, and deal with his own sense of loss.

Today, many people will feel the absence of love as keenly as others celebrate its presence. In a world where love means so much, is there a word from the Lord for everyone, with or without a sweetheart?

First John 4 focuses not on being loved by another person, but on God’s love for us and our love for one another (vv.7-11). According to 1 Corinthians 13:7, this love "bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things." How is this possible? Because God’s love "has been poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit" (Rom. 5:5).

Long after the cards and flowers are forgotten, there is love from God’s heart to ours!
David C. McCasland

On this the day when we express
Undying love and faithfulness,
Let’s not forget that God above
Gave us His Son in perfect love. —Hess

The more we understand God’s love for us, the more love we’ll show to others.

Happy Valentine's Day :)

Hiiii...

This morning I wear my WOW T-Shirt and go to office. Today my company celebrate the Windows Vista plus Office 2007 launched in WOW Train.

At around 11 + we gathered at ATP A and took bus to Tanah Merah. At around 11.26 we took the WOW train.. This is the first time I took a non stop MRT from Tanah Merah to City Hall..

We shout WOW at Aljunied.. and other MRT..

Never thought that shouting can be so fun... ^_^.

In City Hall MRT, all the APOC (Asia Pacific Operation Center) people go down the train. We distribute the heart shape ballon with "Window Vista" logo and some goodies to the public at City Link.
Well... we arrived back at office around 2 PM.. and then have our lunch...

Now.. I am not in the mood to work..

Happy Valentine's Day to all of you............
With Love...

Eat on Weekends..

I have been eating out this whole weekend..

Starting from Friday night...
I and my Cell Group friends were having makan trail.

We went to three places:
1st place: Zion Road hawker center (opposite of Great World City).
I queue for 5 plates of Char Kuo Tiao for all of us.. We reached there early, therefore the queue was still short. When we leaved the place at around 9 pm, the queue was very very long.
It seem Singaporean has this thinking : Long queue=good food. (Which I don't believe it).
I also had Rujak, etc.

2nd place: We walk over to Tong Sui shop. It has all sorts of chinese deserts and food. Over 300 varieties! They even have toast box type peanut butter toast. I tried mango dessert, yin and yang sesame paste, etc. Basically we ordered desert, then shared it with the rest. Yummy.

3rd place: Max Brenner Chocolate Bar at Esplanade. My friend said,"If you love chocolate, die-die must try this place, at least once. " Well, I am not a chocolate lover, and when I reached there I already feel very full. Therefore I didn't ordered anything. But I tried Sakao (Chocolate melted and then mixed with milk), waffle with ice cream and truffle.

What a sumptuous meal.

On Saturday,
We had a farewell party for Ravindi at New York New York for lunch.. and I had the 1/2 chicken meal.. Oh gosh.. I had a hard time trying to finish it. The food is ok,, but the portion is too big for me.
In the evening, I went to Winarto's condo for his farewell party.. His mum cooked gado-gado and Opor.. (Very delicious). We also had tons of cakes, bbq chicken, satay, wine, salads, fruits.
I contributed fruit salad.. hehe thanks to my colleague who teach me how to create such an interesting and healthy salad.

On Sunday..
I went to my CG(Cell Group) friend's house for dinner. He cooked Malay style.. which is very very good.. haha.. I don't expect him to cook so much food for us. Basically we had nasi pandan, fried chicken, tortilla soups(his speciality), peanuts and ikan bilis, salad and satay..
After dinner, we played Taboo. It is a card games. We are divided into 2 teams.. We are supposed to described the word written in the card. But we must not use some words(taboo). Eg. You have to describe Australia, but you can't use word : Kangaroo, Koala, Continents, Gold Coast, Perth. Well, the result is : Draw..

What a weekend..
I better watch on what I eat in the next few weeks..

Have a nice day....
