Flatmate Talk
Titin : Yimmy, what do you want for your birthday?
Yimmy : Airplane.
Titin : Hmmm.......besides that?
Yimmy : I want diamond.
Titin : ??????
One week later, after she came back from Malaysia.
Titin : Yimmy, what do you want for your birthday besides airplane and diamond and other expensive stuff?
Yimmy : Most of the things that I want are expensive.
Titin : Lost of words..
Titin : Ok let me know what do you want.
Yimmy : I don't want anything.
Ok.. so I learn from my experience. Another few days later I asked her.. when Sienny is also around.
Titin : So what do you want for your birthday?
Yimmy : Hmm...
Sienny : What about sunglass or earphone?
Yimmy: Hmm..
Titin : What about the soft lense cleaner, do you still have it?
Yimmy : Still have 3 bottles.
Titin : Ok, let us know or we are going to buy Winnie the Pooh or another piggy for you.
Sienny : Yes.... or we are going to buy XXXX for you (this one is censored).
Yimmy : Are you guys threatening me?
Sienny and I : Hahah..
Yimmy : Ok I will think about it first.
So... we will wait for another few days before asking her the same question again.

Food Diary
I note down what I eat for the day before I went to bed.
Breakfast, lunch, snack, dinner, and also what I drink throughout the day.
By this hopefully I will be able to find out what causes the sudden breakout on my face hiks hiks.
Yes yes.. I also eat a lot of fruits everyday to keep me healthy :).
Today's intake:
Breakfast : Peanut butter toast from Food Barn (I know I am not supposed to eat anything with peanut, because a lot of people said peanut is not good for skin, but I really forgot to bring fruits today.)
Lunch: Brown rice with tofu, brocoli and bittergourd.
Snack: One slice of honeydew.
Dinner: Don't know yet. Probably just something light as I am gonna have a big supper after my Cell group as usual.
Yayyy it's weekend... and tomorrow is sleep day. Sleep till you drop.
Happy weekend.

Just Need to be a Better Me
I really need to learn to speak up and change things.
Oh gosh.
I just found out that the document that I created and spent a very long time doing it is stamped with my colleague name..
Thinking from a rationale mind, I can't imagine, how can a person who just joined a company for 2 months able to create such documents. So it just does not make sense.
Really hate this kind of feeling.
But I really don't know whether as a Christian, I should bother to even brought up this kind of things to my boss... :S :S.
Update: 21/8. This is now resolved, I have informed the document manager and change everything back to my name.

Bad Skin Day
Sound simple.. but very difficult for me.
I think I am not born with good skin gene.
I kept having a break out since my junior high school.
It means... I have been suffering for the same skin problem on and off for more than 15 years..
Oh :S....
I wish God never created pimples and acne..
I believe people who has experience breakout will agree with me.
Then I can save my money for something more meaningful in life, than paying my dermatologist and skin clinic.
This week I have been very good to my skin.
I drink a lot of water (at least 8 glass a day), Vitamin C 1000 mg, at least 2 fruits a day, lots of veggies. So I hope my skin will get better soon.
I should stop wasting money on the facial. But too bad, I have paid for 10 sessions and I still have another 7. I hope this is just a nightmare, and when I wake up tomorrow I have a clear skin.
Mirror mirror on the wall.....
Please make me clear of all these bumps..

Happy??
August Rush
Listen, can you hear it?
The music, I can hear it every where
In the wind, in the air, in the light, it's all around us
All you have to do is to open yourself up, all you have to do is listen
Where I've grown up, they tried to stop me from hearing the music
But when I'm alone, it builds up from inside me
And I think if I could learn how to play it
They might hear me, they would know I was theirs and find me
Sometimes the world tries to knock it out of you
But, I believe in music the way that some people believe in fairy tales
I like to imagine that what I hear came from my mother and father
Maybe the notes I hear are the same ones they heard the night they met
Maybe that's how they'll find me
I believe that once upon the time long ago
They heard the music and followed it…

Happy Easter
A story worth reading,
ONE PARAGRAPH THAT EXPLAINS LIFE!
Arthur Ashe, the legendary Wimbledon player was dying of AIDS which he got due to infected blood he received during a heart surgery in 1983.
From world over, he received letters from his fans, one of which conveyed:
"Why does GOD have to select you for such a bad disease"?
To this Arthur Ashe replied:
" The world over -- 50 million children start playing tennis,
5 million learn to play tennis,
500,000 learn professional tennis,
50,000 come to the circuit,
5000 reach the grand slam,
50 reach Wimbledon ,
4 to semi final,
2 to the finals,
when I was holding a cup I never asked GOD 'Why me?'.
And today in pain I should not be asking GOD 'Why me?' "
Happiness keeps you Sweet,
Trials keep you Strong,
Sorrow keeps you Human,
Failure keeps you humble
and Success keeps you glowing,
but only Faith & Attitude Keeps you going...

Passion and Purity
I am half way reading Passion and Purity by Elizabeth Elliot (with foreword from Joshua Harris). And I really don't know whether I should be happy or sad with my current situation.
Being blunt and honest, I am not the person who like to wait.
Some people is willing to queue for hours just to get donut. I really can't imagine doing such thing. In food court I always choose the stall with the shortest queue cos I hate queueing.
I guess be patience and wait for other things in life may be good for me.
God's timing is the best.
Well, it seems I started to rumble around my blog. I don't even give you guys any clue on what the book is about.
I better stop now and start doing my job. I will try to give some review when I have finished reading it.

Lesson Learnt from The Last Lecture
If you have read Tuesdays with Morries, then you'll know.
Another inspiring lessons came from Randy Pausch.
Who is he?
Randy Pausch is a Professor at Carnegie Mellon University (CMU) in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
In September 2006, he was diagnosed with metastatic pancreatic cancer. He pursued cancer treatment that included major surgery and experimental chemotherapy; however in August of 2007 he was told that the cancer had metastasized to his liver and spleen. He then started palliative chemotherapy intended to extend his life as long as possible, which was then estimated to be three to six months. He remains vigorous and active six months later (February 2008.)
On the last lecture to his students he taught them about LIVE, How to live your life. If you live your life to the fullest, the dream will come to you.
Followings are the link to the video : http://www.sonnyradio.com/lastlecture.html.
Click on the second clip for his full lecture in Oprah. His last lecture has been downloaded by millions of people.
Some of the lessons that I learned from his lecture :
1.Experience is what you get when you don't get what you want.
Well.. that's very true, sometimes we thought that we are a loser when we don't get what we wanted. But if we see this from a different perspective, we actually gained lots of experience out of it.
2.When you have done a bad job and nobody let you know it, it means they have given up on you. So friends the next time you heard someone giving you comments on the bad job that you have done, it means they still care about you.
3. The importance of people vs things. Remember that for any ocassion, people has to be put first, things comes later.
4.Work and play with others. Remember that if we wait long enough, people will show their good side. So you can't hurry people, but you can be patience.
5.Last but not least. Don't complain just work harder. ^_^
Watch the entire video and you know what I mean.
Happy working everyone.

Happy Valentine's Day
Remember to love the one you're with this Valentine's day.
And most important of all Remember that God loves you :).
Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young - Love The One You're With Lyrics
There's a Rose
In a fisted Glove
And the eagle flies with the dove
And if you can't be with the one you love
It's alright
Go ahead and love the one, love the one, love the one your with
Love the one, love the one, love the one your with
If your guy can't come to you
And you don't remember who your talking to
Your concentration slips away
Because your baby, she is so so far away
And the eagle flies with the dove
And if you cant be with the one you love
Love the one your with
Don't be angry
Don't be sad
Don't sit cryin' for good times you had
There's a girl right next to you
And she's waiting for something to do

What God Wants Me to Do with My Life??
And right now, I am still asking God, what does He want me to do.
Well.. it's a tough question, most of you will agree with me.
Sometimes I want to say, "Gosh I can't read Your mind."
Well.. you have a bible He would say.
God casts the responsibility on us to choose that which is best for us. These choices come inevitably from the judgments we make about what reflects our highest selves.
Scripture says that everything is summed up in the commandment that we love God first, above all else, and that we love other people as we love ourselves. Do that and you fulfill all of God's requirements (Matthew 36:37-40).
So, put God first in our lives. Wherever we are (working or studying) we can show love and kindness to others just like God has first loved us.

Trusting Him
My colleague said I think too much.
That's true, sometimes my mind just can't stop thinking even when I want to. Brain overwork.
I am a stubborn girl sometimes. I believe in myself more than He who created me.
Sometimes I feel that I don't trust Him enough to guide me in each steps of my life. From now onwards I am going to trusting Him in everything I do. Trusting that He will provide everything for me. Trusting my life into His hands for He is the loving God and my best friend.
Cast all your care to him: for he careth for you. 1 Peter 5:7

Half-Hearted
Yeah.. happy for Christmas.
But a little bit unhappy with the recent hikes everywhere. Starting from GST, rent, transportation (and taxi fares hikes up to 30% OMG).
And more unhappy with the increment that I received. hiks. hiks. I know most of my colleagues also receive the same or less increment. But sometimes I feel that all the effort put in to this job is not worthy. I still haven't sign my renewal contract yet. And it's ended this December. My increment can't even cover the inflation cost in Singapore(gee).
My colleague told me that she feel insulted when she saw the salary package. I can totally understand her feeling and she has to pay quite a lot for her rent as well.
Current mood : half hearted.
Things to do :
-Update my resume so I can apply for another job soon.
-Upgrade my skills
Well well.. Titin, money is not the most important thing in life. There are other things are most important, like family, and God for sure.
So happy working everyone.

Korea Journey
You've got to see my itinerary when I went to Korea:
Departed from Changi by Thai Airways around 5.15 PM.
Arrived at Thai Airport (Suvarnabhumi) around 7.45 PM.
Then we had around 4 hours transit there.
We departed to Incheon around 12.00 AM and finally reached Incheon Korea at around 8 AM.
I would say the way back plane is slightly worse, because we have to transit in both Hong Kong and Suvarnabhumi. We departed from Incheon around 10.15 AM and reached Singapore around 11.30 PM.
By the way.. the timing here is based on my camera timing.. (hi hi) Everytime I reached a land, I will took pictures so time taken in pictures is the one I used as reference.
Anyway, despite of all I really enjoyed my trip in Korea.. :)
I will post some pictures later with some interesting story from Korea.

APOC Pricing Kick Off Meeting
Yay.. no work, free breakfast, lunch and dinner :).
Haha... well.. I am actually not supposed to focus on that part.
Basically, we have our Kick Off meeting once a year at the beginning of the fiscal year.
This is to improve what we have done in the past, give any feedback to the management level. So as summary, Let Your Voice Be Heard.
Let me just summarize what we have did.
So, we started with breakfast at 8 am : Ya Kun Kaya toast. Followed by group meeting and presentation (you'll not be interested with this one, so I will not talked much about it).
Then we also celebrated birthday of August baby... (me, Keng Shin and Kah Hong).
We had lunch around 1 pm. Lunch was caterred from Purple Sage.
After lunch we had some group discussion and sharing and followed by Clay making session.
It wass very fun.. that's all I can say. And my group won the 1st Awards. This is our creation (for your information, we only have around 30 minutes for design and implementation):
I also made a name tag from myself. It's the blue colour with wordings Titin.. :).
After all the hustle and bustle of the day, we had a nice dinner at Town House, Fullerton. Food and service is great and the scenery is beautiful.
So I would say, this time we have a great time.

My Journey in Korea
Current feeling : blessed.
It's been a great experience even tough I am lack of sleep almost everyday during the conference.
By the way.. I go there to attend EAGC 2007 (East Asia Graduate Conference). It is a Christian conference, with 300 participants from East Asia.
It's great to meet such a great friends from different countries. And I do think, there are a lot of things I can learn from Christians in Korea, their commitment to God, and their courtesy to strangers :).
Another special thing is, the scenery is very beautiful. There are lots of mountains surrounding the city (both Ansan, where I stayed and Seoul).
I truly thankful the Lord has granted me this opportunity to refresh my mind and soul and to appreciate the splendor and beauty of Korea. Through it all, He kept me safe and blessed me with good health. Thanks everybody for making this trip simply unforgettable :)

Be Patient - God Knows Best
Are you patient when dealing with difficult people,
Patient to wait to pray when your relationship does not turn out as you wish to be, etc.
Remember story of Abraham and Sarah... In their impatience, Abraham and Sarah had years earlier given up on bearing children together. They took a shortcut acceptable at the time: Abraham fathered a child with Sarah's servant girl, a tactic that created predictable household turmoil.
So.. bear in mind, When you feel like losing out your patience on something.. just take a moment and pray.. to avoid doing something that you'll regret later on.
Apa yang kau alami kini.. mungkin tak dapat engkau mengerti..
Satu hal tanamkan di hati.. Indah semua yang Tuhan bri.. :)
Ecclesiastes 31
There is a time for everything,
and a season for every activity under heaven:
2 a time to be born and a time to die,
a time to plant and a time to uproot,
3 a time to kill and a time to heal,
a time to tear down and a time to build,
4 a time to weep and a time to laugh,
a time to mourn and a time to dance,
5 a time to scatter stones and a time to gather them,
a time to embrace and a time to refrain,
6 a time to search and a time to give up,
a time to keep and a time to throw away,
7 a time to tear and a time to mend,
a time to be silent and a time to speak,
8 a time to love and a time to hate,
a time for war and a time for peace.

Lunch Time Topic
I ate Penang Kwetiau.. not bad.. but a little bit spicy. It seems this place has become more and more popular among APOC people. I saw lots of familiar faces there today.
Today my collagues were talking about marriage.. hoah.. a taboo issue for single.
Better don't hear too much about it if you are still single or you'll be afraid of marriage.
Among 5 of us, only 2 are married (happily), my boss and my close colleague. They are happily married but they also advise me soooo many things.. Do this and that.. and this and that.. woa...
One of them is.. you have to let you husband pay for all the household needs. House payment can be shared, but the rest, let the guy pay.
Hmm.. I just know about this kind of rule. All this while, I thought everything was shared equally. That's good hoh... hehehe... I am lucky to be a girl =).
So for singles out there.... better enjoy your single hood as much as possible before it ends.
Ok.. I'm back to work everyone..
Have a blessed day.
